Ahoi, I’m René.
AI, Automation, and (P)KM Enthusiast and Professional
I explore the intersection where humans and machines meet, philosophically, strategically, and technically.
Whether here or elsewhere, I approach AI and data through a humanistic lens. I believe the transformative power of these technologies calls for deep, foundational reflection of the kind that philosophy is uniquely equipped to provide.
Background
I hold an MA in Philosophy from UCPH, where I specialized in phenomenology and the philosophy of mind. My thesis explored the limits of neural networks – a project that sparked a passion for AI that still burns bright today.
Over time my focus has evolved from theoretical to practical. To deepen my applied expertise, I’ve completed:
- Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate
- Microsoft’s Azure Fundamentals - Hugging Face’s LLM Course
- DeepLearning.AI’s Generative AI with LLMs
Work
I currently work at a leading AAA+ video game developer where I drive the digital knowledge management initiative on one of the company’s flagship brands. While I began with core KM tasks, my role has expanded into data engineering and intelligent automation.
Tasks I’ve been preoccupied with recently include:
-
Designing custom scripts to automate data ingestion, processing, and knowledge extraction across development platforms
-
Implementing automated workflows to reduce manual overhead and ensure real-time updates
-
Building Power BI dashboards to monitor content performance, system health, and knowledge flow
Upcoming: I’m leading the development of an AI-powered chatbot and knowledge retrieval system to enable fast, self-service access to critical project information.
Whether it’s automating workflows or creating new functionality, I enjoy building systems that reduce overhead and open up fresh possibilities. You can explore more of my projects in the portfolio.
Side projects
Coming soon.
Interests
I enjoy writing (fiction and nonfiction), hiking, cycling, running, playing chess and Magic: The Gathering, and exploring world cuisines.
This site
This site is mainly a space for sharing my thoughts on topics that interest me. But it is also a personal sandbox for design and web experimentation. It was first built on WordPress, then Django, and now runs on Hugo.
